Bookmap shows you the orders waiting in the market as a heatmap, with the trades that hit them on top. It helps you see where liquidity sits and how the market reacts to it.

What it is
Most charts show only what has traded. Bookmap also shows what is waiting to trade. Bright bands on the heatmap are large resting orders. Bubbles show real trades, sized by volume.
The skill is watching how price reacts at those bands. A large order that absorbs heavy selling without price falling can mean buyers are defending a level. A band that vanishes as price approaches may have been pulled, and that tells you something too.
How you use it on gold
There is an important limit. Spot gold from a CFD broker has no single central order book, so there is nothing real to map. Bookmap is normally used with gold futures, which have a visible order book, through a data feed that usually costs money. Resting orders can also be cancelled, so the heatmap shows intention, not certainty.
What you will learn
- Reading the heatmap and volume bubbles
- Spotting absorption and liquidity grabs
- Using the order book to refine an entry at a zone
- Knowing what futures data shows that CFD data cannot
- Not over-reading a display that can be manipulated
One mistake to avoid
Treating a bright band as a wall that price cannot pass. Orders can vanish in an instant. Learn the limits first, and use Bookmap only to refine a trade you already have a reason to take.
YouTube or learning with us?
Bookmap videos are popular on YouTube. Some creators teach the basics free and charge for the advanced level.
Pros
- Free demos of how the tool looks.
- Useful before you spend on data.
Cons
- Many videos skip that spot gold has no real order book.
- The data and software costs are often mentioned late.
- The practical rules are usually in the paid level.
How we teach it
We use Bookmap as a refinement tool, not a system. A zone must pass our checks first. Then we use Bookmap to see how the market reacts there, and we tell you plainly what it cannot show.
- Clear about what needs futures data and what does not
- A view-only investor password, so you can check what we actually trade
We are paid for this program, so check us against our live trading through the investor password.
Keep in mind
A heatmap shows orders that can disappear. It does not predict direction. Keep a stop-loss on every trade.

Gold (XAUUSD) and CFD trading carries a high risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. Signals are general information, not personal advice, and do not guarantee results. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Only trade money you can afford to lose.
