Fibonacci tools mark possible pullback and target levels inside a price swing. They help you plan, but they do not predict, and they work best when something else agrees.

What it is
After a strong move, price often pulls back before continuing. A Fibonacci retracement divides the swing into ratios such as 38.2%, 50% and 61.8%, which many traders watch as possible turning points. Extensions such as 127.2% and 161.8% suggest possible targets.
The levels work partly because so many traders watch them. They are a shared map, not a law of nature.
How you use it on gold
The weak point is the swing you choose. Draw from a different high or low and the levels move, so two traders can see different levels on the same chart. Use Fibonacci as confluence: a level that also matches a supply or demand zone, an old level or an EMA deserves more attention than one standing alone.
What you will learn
- Choosing the right swing high and low
- Using retracements and extensions on gold
- Treating Fibonacci as extra evidence, not a signal
- Placing stops beyond the swing, not at a ratio
- Knowing when the tool is just decoration
One mistake to avoid
Drawing the levels from the swing that tells the best story. Fix a rule for choosing the swing before you look at the chart, and treat a level as extra evidence only when something independent agrees with it.
YouTube or learning with us?
Fibonacci is a favourite on YouTube. Some channels teach the drawing free and charge for the advanced level.
Pros
- Free and visual.
- Quick to learn the basic drawing.
Cons
- Videos show perfect bounces on hand-picked swings.
- Little about why the swing choice matters.
- Risk and stops are rarely taught with it.
How we teach it
With us, Fibonacci never stands alone. A level counts only when it agrees with a zone, the structure and your risk rules. We also show you the cases where it failed.
- A fixed rule for choosing the swing
- A view-only investor password, so you can see how we use it in real trades
We are paid for this program, so check us against our live trading through the investor password.
Keep in mind
Fibonacci levels have no proven power to predict on their own, and price can pass straight through them. Always protect a trade with a stop-loss. A simple way to start: pick one clear swing on a gold chart, draw the levels, and see which one price respected. Then check whether anything else, such as a zone or an EMA, agreed with it.
